About

A certified EMS trainer who comes to you.

KineticEMS is one certified trainer, one car, and a full whole-body EMS studio that arrives at your door across Los Angeles, Ventura & Orange County. No studio to drive to, no membership, nothing to wait for.

The trainer

Three years on the suit, and the fitness years behind it.

Your trainer has spent more than three years working specifically with whole-body EMS, and comparable years in fitness before and alongside it. Over a hundred clients have trained with us — the youngest was 10, with a parent's consent and a signed waiver, and the oldest was 74.

The certification is not an optional extra: Miha Bodytec does not sell the system to anyone who has not completed its training, so being allowed to own the machine and being trained to run it are the same thing. Further training was completed in August 2024.

Most people who call us are not short of information about exercise. They are short of someone expecting them on Tuesday at seven. That is the part a mobile trainer really sells — not the suit, but the person who turns up with it and keeps the record. A membership asks you to supply the discipline. We supply the appointment.

In short

  • 3+ years working with whole-body EMS
  • Comparable years in fitness overall
  • 100+ clients trained to date
  • Clients from age 10 to 74
  • Certified on the Miha Bodytec II; further training completed August 2024
The equipment

What comes through your door.

The system is a Miha Bodytec II — the second-generation unit, marked as such on the machine. It is German-made, waterproof, and common enough across European studios to have earned the nickname the Mercedes of EMS. It is FDA-cleared and CE-certified, medical-grade.

What it does is less exotic than it sounds. The impulses mimic the signals your brain already sends to muscle, delivered to the major muscle groups at once and harder than you would reach alone. You still squat, press, row and hold — the machine raises the load, it does not replace the work.

EMS has a knockoff problem worth naming. Consumer belts and unbranded suits borrow the vocabulary of professional equipment, and a client strapping in cannot tell from the marketing. But the impulse is the whole product, and how it is shaped and controlled is exactly what gets cut to hit a low price.

So if you are comparing EMS providers, ask two questions: what equipment do you run, and what certification does it hold. Anyone vague about either has told you something useful.

Safety and trust

We ask before you train.

Every client starts with a five-to-ten minute call: your goals, your training history, and anything medical we need to work around. We send the list of contraindications before the first visit, and you sign a waiver acknowledging them before you put the suit on.

Some conditions rule out a session outright — a pacemaker or implanted device, pregnancy, epilepsy, acute inflammation and fever. If you have a chronic condition or a diagnosis you are managing, speak to your doctor first and tell your coach what they said. We are trainers, not clinicians, and we would rather lose a booking than guess.

The equipment is disinfected with an alcohol solution between clients, and we do it in front of you rather than asking you to take our word for it.

Why it suits people who cannot load a barbell

EMS puts a high load on the muscle and close to none on the joints and spine, because the intensity arrives as an impulse rather than as weight on your back.

  • Older adults returning to training
  • Clients coming back from injury
  • People training around joint replacements
  • Anyone whose back rules out heavy loading

Not a treatment, and not a substitute for medical advice — just a lighter mechanical cost for the same training effect.

Who we train

Mostly women, mostly already training.

About four in five of our clients are women, and the goal named most often is tone — a firmer, more defined shape rather than a number on a scale.

Already fit, adding EMS

Most of our clients already do something — the gym, yoga, pilates — and add EMS for the strength stimulus without adding three hours to the week.

Postpartum

Clients rebuilding strength and tone after birth, at home, on a schedule that survives a baby.

Older adults and busy professionals

People who want the training effect without the joint load, and people whose calendar is the reason they stopped.

What clients report

Four things we have actually been told.

No before-and-after photos here — our clients are private and decline. Measurements and plain accounts instead.

A client of 60 trained one session a week for five or six weeks. Her scale weight never moved — but her smart scale showed about four pounds more lean muscle, and less fat, than when she started.

Client, 60 · tracked at home on a smart scale

One client booked a package two days after her first session. Nothing measurable had happened that fast — she said her posture had already changed.

Client, two days after session one

A postpartum client started about two months after giving birth and got her tone and strength back quickly. It is a common reason people call.

Client, postpartum

One client came to us for glutes and hamstrings, and that is what we programmed. She mentioned later that her arms had come in too — the suit works the whole body either way.
